Ladies and Gentlemen,

Distinguished Guests, Respected Church Leaders, Wonderful Parents, and of course, our Bright and Boundless Children, Good Morning!

I stand before you today to pay my respect and appreciation to the children who are not only the future of the church but also the moral compass of the world. Today, as we gather for the Children's Harvest program, we find ourselves celebrating childhood – an enchanting journey of joy, innocence, creativity, and the unique ability to instill in us a sense of hope and unwavering faith.

Children's Harvest is such a special day in our Church service calendar. It is a day when we allow our young ones to take the front row, to lead, to serve, and to give - to show the world their young but potent capacity for benevolence. It's one day in a year where we allow ourselves to see the world through the optimistic and untainted eyes of our children and learn crucial lessons on faith and humanity.

In the Gospel of Matthew, chapter 18 verse 3, Jesus said, "Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." These poignant words emphasize the importance of maintaining a childlike heart and spirit - full of humility, love, and purity. Today, as we celebrate and honour our children, we are also reminded to cherish these virtues and see the beauty and goodness in simple and pure acts of faith.

The Children's Harvest Program symbolizes more than just the agricultural bounty that is traditionally associated with it. It stands as a metaphor for the seeds of faith we are sowing in our young ones, nurturing them with love and truth to grow with God's abundant grace. The harvest, then, that we look forward to is a generation of children who uphold Christian values and carry forth God’s message with passion and conviction.

The Harvest is not just about giving; it’s more about giving back. It teaches our children gratitude, humility, and responsibility. They learn to value their blessings, share with others, and contribute to the Church community. It's a values-instilling program that helps shape their moral fiber, increasing their understanding of faith, and the true essence of Christianity.

But let us also be reminded that the spiritual nourishment of these young souls is not the duty of the Church alone. As parents, relatives, and friends, we must partner with the Church, providing Christian mentorship in our own homes and daily lives. Let us model Christ-like behaviours - of love, respect, and generosity - which our children can emulate.

Let's continue to guide our children, teaching them the language of love, faith, and hope. Let us reaffirm our commitment to raising a generation that is not just spiritually robust but also morally sound. For the harvest we are expecting in the near future also depends on the kind of seeds we, as adults, are planting in these children today.

Thank you all for being a part of this lovely occasion, especially the children who are the shining stars of our celebration today. May this Harvest bring spiritual growth amongst our children, strengthening the Church and community. Let us all together, nourish these young molds of clay in the love & wisdom of God, so they grow to be the strong pillars of faith for our Church, community, and the world.

May God bless us all and guide us in this sacred task of rearing our children in His holy name. Thank you.
