Ladies and gentlemen, esteemed congregation, and dear friends, I stand before you today with great joy and humility to express my heartfelt gratitude for the opportunity to address you, as we welcome our newly appointed church leader. Today, we confirm our faith and our hope in the assurance that God is with us fully – as we affirm this new chapter in our church’s journey.

We gather on this momentous day amidst great anticipation and jubilation, not just to celebrate the induction of a new leader but also to reaffirm our faith that God will use this leader to move the mission of our church forward.

As it is written in the book of John chapter 15 verse 16, Jesus said, “You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last". We know this is not our choosing but God's divine will. Our new leader's appointment is not by accident, but by divine providence. God has chosen them for a specific purpose: to guide us in growth, to strengthen our unity, and to deepen our relationship with Him.

God has a special message for the newly appointed leader today. Just as Moses was chosen by God to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, so you have been chosen to lead this flock. The Lord placed Moses into leadership not because of his strength, but because God knew he would be faithful to Him.

The task ahead will test your faith and resilience, but remember what Joshua 1:9 says, "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go."

Our hope and our confidence lies not in human leadership, but in God who makes everything possible. Rest assured, God's will is that our church grows in number, in faith, and in love for one another. As the apostle Paul said in Ephesians 4 verse 16, "From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work."

Dear congregants, let us enthusiastically offer our prayers, support, and cooperation to our new leader. Let’s foster unity as we strive towards our goal of spreading the Gospel, with our new leader guiding us under the watchful and loving eye of our Heavenly Father.

As our new flag-bearer, our hope lies in your obedience to God in fulfilling the mission bestowed upon you. Act with discernment and wisdom, seek counsel from God and remember Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

To our new leader, may you carry the torch high and lead us to prosperity, under God’s grace and love. As you step into this noble calling, may you not only guide us but also inspire us to work more diligently for the betterment of our church and our community.

God be with you now and forever. We look forward to a fruitful journey under your leadership. Congratulations and God bless us all. Amen.
